    Hi there

Every time I turn my one X on it comes up with a black screen and a notification comes up saying to try again in a while as our service isn't working properly?

Has anyone had anything similar to this?

    • Confirm that both your TV and Xbox One console are turned on.
    • Check that your TV is set to the correct input signal (HDMI).
    • Check that the HDMI cable connection to your console is secure.
    • Check that the HDMI cable connection to your TV is secure.
    • Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console.
    • Perform a cold boot on your Xbox One console by holding the power button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds, and then turn it on again.
    • Reset your display settings. Here's how:
      1. If there's a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.
      2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button
for five seconds to turn off the console.
      3. Press and hold the Xbox button
and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You will hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. DO NOT LET GO until the second beep occurs.
Note This will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, go to
System > Settings in the guide, select
        Display & sounds
, Video options, and then TV Resolution.
      4. If you are required to complete these steps on every boot-up, you will want to change your TV connection to HDMI as shown in step 3 in the next section, "Your screen is blank and you use an AVR in your setup." For more information, see How
to adjust the display settings on your Xbox One console
        .
    • Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.
    • Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV.
    • Try connecting your console to a different TV.

    Good day

Check if the service has an outage, if no outage then do a hard reset/power cycle.

Hard reset/power cycle is doje by pressing and holding the xbox logo on the front of the console untill it switches off.

Wait 30 seconds before switching it on again.

Your games etc wont be lost when doing a hard reset.

    Hey there Reflex,

Sorry to hear you are running into this problem. One thing you can always do if you can't get past that error message would be to Reset Console and Keep Games and Apps. You would need to go through the Troubleshooter on the console.

    Try this:

    • Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
    • Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
    • Press and hold the
BINDbutton (located below the Xbox button on the console) and the
EJECTbutton (located on the front of the console), and then press the
      Xboxbutton on the console.
    • Continue holding the
      BINDand
      EJECTbuttons for 10-15 seconds.
    • Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
      BINDand
EJECTbuttons after the second power-up tone.
    • The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox
    • Startup Troubleshooter.
    • Select Reset this Xbox
    • Select Reset this Xbox and Keep Games and Apps

Let us know if this works!
