    (Skip Down to next Paragraph to hear my question, this is background explanation to explain why I may be encountering this problem..) at the moment I am having the same problem with certain games however I do understand it to some extent, I bought the Xbox One X (not the series X, it is the Scorpio edition model..) at the time I thought they were the same thing, just different build forms, and at very least knowing they may not be the same that they would have the same power, however I was wrong.. wish I knew as I paid nearly 1000 dollars for it and woulda skipped on it and got myself Xbox one series x if I knew I would encounter this problem I am reporting now so

    When seeing some games in game store (including the new Stalker Game for Xbox which I have much anticipating and almost bought!! Thank god I didn’t) it claims to be only compatible with Xbox series S/X.. now it is understandable if I had a regular VCR Xbox however I have Xbox one X Scorpio model.. which has wayyy more power than Xbox series S.. I am missing out on one of my most anticipated and long awaited games, Stalker 2… I wish for Xbox to fix this as I know it is certainly possible for the Xbox One X I have to download, stream and watch play Stalker 2 and other titles that could work if I had the far less obsolete Xbox One S model! It is very frustrating as I bought this Xbox thinking I had the best and most superior Xbox model! It also is very safe to say that it is almost definitely possible for my Xbox One X to play these games and somehow a Xbox One S is better off than mine to do so.. I HOPE THIS SINCERELY REACHES ITS WAY TO XBOX STAFF AS I KNOW I MUST NOT BE THE ONLY ONE GETTING JIBBED HERE, FIX IT SO THAT MY XBOX ONE X IS ABLE TO PLAY GAMES AS IT IS A XBOX ONE X!!! AND UNDER THESE GAMES IT SAYS ONLY AVAILABLE ON XBOX SERIES X/S!! AS IF A MY XBOX ONE X IS LESS POWERFUL THAN XBOX ONE S!!! I am about to trade up my Xbox for a PS5 if this problem continues as I very much have been looking forward to stalker 2 since it’s announcement trailer then I hear a few months ago it’s coming summer, then I go to download and get hit with “this game can only be played on xbox series S/X” even though my xbox is a X just not the series X! PLEASE FIX THIS MICROSOFT AS I PAID A $1000 DOLLARS TO STARE AT STALKER 2 ON XBOX STORE!!!

    I have the Xbox one X project Scorpio, I was told that the game can be downloaded in any serie X or serie S (included mine), thanks for the help!!
    Game can only be downloaded on a Series S and Series X, but not an Xbox One X. Xbox One X is not the same as a Series X.

    Hi,

    I'm but if you've paid $1000 for a One X, you've been had. The Xbox One is was never $1000 even when it was released back in 2017.

    I'm afraid you're a little confused with the naming convention used for Xbox consoles and how they relate to the actual hardware. The 'S' in the Series X|S consoles is not the Xbox One S. The Xbox Series S is a different console to the One S. So, if a game has not been developed to work on the One S, it won't work on the One X either.

    Actually the Xbox One X has more graphics capability than the new Series S, but it has a much, much weaker CPU. It's the older low powered 'AMD Jaguar' CPU that is preventing newer games from being released on the Xbox One X.

    I'm afraid if you want to play the latest games such as Stalker, you're going to need to buy a new console. Nothing Microsoft can do about it. It was always going to be this way with the new generation consoles.

    I have an Xbox One X, not the Xbox One X Scorpio edition and mine isn't slow or clunky. I think they made so adjustments to the Xbox One X after the Scorpio edition came out.
