Xbox One X recurring lag spikes.

Funny how I haven't had this issue on my xbox one x ever but when I go on my xbox series S then it just starts having the lag spike issues with my captures.

I have just port forwarded my xbox one whcih has added an additional 5 ports.

I have also cleared the Network Card Cache so hopefully this will help somewhat.

Unfortunately as this is an intermittent issue I won't be able to confirm if it's worked or not until it rops up again.

The Xbox One X is indeed the only Xbox in the house.

Unfortunately I was unable to screenshot my Network status as I don't think you are able to whilst in the menu overlay. I was however able to take a photo of the settings. I hope this helps somewhat?

I have multiple Xbox ones on my home network and have had similar issues. Have you verified that the X is the only Xbox on your network when you see the issues come up?

For my network I've implemented some UPnP settings that allow multiple consoles to be online without stepping on each other.

Could you Send me a screenshot of your network status on the One X??

Thanks for updating us with your reply! Glad to hear that port forwarding has significantly decreased your issue with lag and that everything related to that has been sorted out. The new issue that you're having with the Xbox One X randomly shutting down
is definitely a bummer though, and am glad you've done some really smart troubleshooting so far.

Since you've already tried power cycling the console and that temporary fix hasn't given way to a more stable fix, given the console a good dusting and more room to "breathe", as well as plugging it into a main socket directly, you've gone through many of
the recommendations that we would normally provide in our support article concerning the

Xbox One console not turning on.

In addition to that article, I would recommend you try the solutions available in this other article,

Troubleshoot Xbox One unexpectedly turning off, since it does have some extra information concerning random shut downs. You may also wish to see if a different socket would show a different results as well (I've been victim to a bad socket in the past myself.)
or trying out a wired connection if possible, which would also help you out significantly with any residual lag issues.

Give these other solutions a try and let us know how it goes.
