Xbox one x randomly turns on and ejects my disc, how do I solve this

I acquired a used Xbox one x from a friend and everything on it works fine.... Accept the fact that it will randomly turn on and eject the disc, and if there is no disc it just rings, does anyone know how to fix this? I understand that I can unplug it and everything but I want a real fix to this problem

I am sorry to hear that.

This may be a hardware issue, the berst course of action would be to send it for repairs.

You can however, try a few things.

Clean the touch sensor and the USB ports.

Perform a system reset, to rule out software issues.

You can follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

Yea, i am having the same issue. It randomly pings and then ejects my game and turns on the console and TV. It's really annoying because it happens when i am sleeping or when I'm out. i haven't been playing much so i don't know if it happens during a game.
i have tried turning instant mode off and it still randomly pings and ejects disc.

Turn off your xbox. Then turn on xbox press Disc eject button & Synch button same time (Synch button is left side console). Then you get troubleshoot menu. Dnt know how to do on Slim & X.

You can search at google how get Troubleshoot menu for Xbox Slim & X if you dnt have the fat orginial Xbone.

Nope, the drive is perfectly capable of ejecting. When inserting a disc in good condition, and the Xbox is capable of reading it, i can use the X button to eject it. But the eject button on the console doesn't do anything. Also this is an Xbox one S

I have the same problems. Happened at least 10 times with an xbox360 S. Today for example i turned off xbox360 with a background download and the drive started to spin until i eject the tray. Happened also when i entered in xbox video with last dashboard.
Inserted i have the battlefield 3 disc. It seems to happen randomly. I think an update can solve this. If you have a very big download the drive spin until the end. If you eject the tray the console turn off again.
