Xbox One X Powers On, No Video

I've had this console since May 2018, it's worked without a hitch up until last week. It was plugged in but not turned on during this time. When I attempted to start it up yesterday, it powered on but no video would appear. I switched to two other monitors and also a TV (all of which it had worked on before), I tried different hdmi cables and different power cables. I then tried soft reset several times (for low res mode) and nothing changed. As a last resort I tried system restore via the USB drive. Even though it would give the appropriate beeps, nothing would ever come on the screen. Is there anything else that can be done?

Same problem for me tonight. Theres nothing that can be done it seems. It just has to be sent for repair. My warranty only ended last month. Nice timing. Cost of repairs is nearly the same price as a new console so screw that. Might just wait till the Series X is back in stock. Just what Microsoft wanted.

The ability to output 4K video is only a small part of the puzzle

The CPu and GPU of series consoles is far more powerful than any Xbox One. The Series S, while technically less powerful than the one x, has a far far more powerful cpu, the same one in the Series X

The Xbox One X will scale the video to what the TV will present. While you wont be playing in 4K a lot of the benefit is in the processing power as well so games play better and load faster.

Hi,

Eurogamer did a power test on the console back in 2017. The peak power draw when they tested it with Gear 4 running in 4K was rated arund 175W. The Internal power supply in the Xbox One X is rated for 245W - 2.75 Amps. I got this information from a Teardown
video on YouTube.
