    Xbox One X performance issue on Minecraft


    I’m aware that the Series X|S are capable of running Minecraft at smooth 60fps but, come on, the Xbox One X has more than enough power to run the game. It take 5-8 minutes to load for no reason, 2-3 minute to sync user data, most of the time it’s frozen. If I turn on 4K mode in the xbox settings, minecraft will crash the WHOLE console. I tried deleting and reinstalling the game, tried clearing the worlds, restarted the console, and even factory reset the console. Nothing proved useful, I need to crank down my render distance to the range of 4-6, anti-aliasing at 0 to achieve 60 fps, albeit not a stable 60 fps. That’s just single player worlds, multiplayer I dip even more. Don’t even mention servers since that is even worst. If I can run Doom Eternal at 1080p 60fps stable, there is no excuse why my Xbox One X should have any issue running Minecraft. Is it due to the fact the console runs on a Minecraft on the internal HDD? If so, I’d be more than willing to buy an external SSD.

    Im sorry but I don’t mean to sound rude or anything but, I doubt that is the case. It’s ironic when an iPhone 8 which bears a MUCH weaker cpu and gpu and way less ram, runs the game better and boots it up in 10 seconds. My current iPhone 11 blasts past with a staggering time of 6 seconds boot up and instant menus with no stutters. I doubt it’s the Cpu, rather lazy optimization on Mojang’s part.

    My friend has the same issue. He has a Xbox One S but he has the same issue with minecraft. Long startup times but runs any other game smoothly.

    When you reset your console to its factory default settings, did you keep the games and apps? if so, then try doing it again but this time erase everything, this way, you can ensure a clean slate. You'll have to download all your games and apps again so keep this in mind.
