xbox one x out of warranty but less than a year old from purchase

bought a xbox x from argos april 2019 but the hdmi port seems to have failed a common fault ive been told although I was also told all systems come with a year warranty mine seems to be showing out of warranty

is this the case that they don't come with one years warranty

thank you I've been in touch with argos and I've been told to send it to Microsoft for diagnosing and to get a reference number and they will pay

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you purchased your console within a year, but the console is showing that it is out of warranty. The warranty begins the moment the console is purchased. The Xbox One X comes with a one year
manufacturer warranty. If the retailer purchased the console before selling it, the console warranty will begin the moment the retailer completes the purchase for the item. This is sometimes the case with third-party retailers. We have authorized retailers
in the USA like Wal-Mart, Amazon and Gamestop that receive consoles, and the warranty begins from the moment you purchase the console from the authorized retailer. We hope this information helps SCOOBYWRC!

In the UK it will have a 1 year warranty, you could try returning it to Argos to see if they will simply replace it. If not you may need to contact support.xbox.com to clear up the warranty issue and organise a repair.

just make sure you have a copy of your receipt and take to argos, as it is over 6 months they can either replace or send for repair or replace with a full refurb at their discretion, as long as its not physical damage caused by neglect.
