xbox one x not showing image on tv

The Xbox One X simply isn't powerful enough to output pretty much any game at 120Hz, the console will be sending out a 120Hz image, but that doesn't mean that the game will be running at 120Hz.

Its like setting your console to 1080p but displaying on a 4K TV, the TV still shows a 4K image, but that's because the image has been up-scaled to fill the 4K screen.

there's no link. just an image from the reveal showing all of the windows 10 devices and a TV with Kinect/Xbox One was on the image. the image had every device on it.

I've used my xbox one x with 3 tv's and this new qled is the only TV I have had any issues with (which makes me believe it is a problem with the TV and not the xbox, but Samsung are insisting that this issue is with xbox. ...

If 3 other TVs don't show ghosting/coronas/blur etc... then it is most definitely the Samsung TV responsible for the ghosting.

Ghosting/coronas can't happen on the graphics chip (unless it's a lightning effect, the programmer actually intended to render, and then it'll show on all TVs). So if it only happens on the Samsung, then only the Samsung has the problem with ghosting.

Usually ghosting coronas and the likes happen when an overzealous image enhancement tries to make a natural image from a normal TV or movie camera "sharper". However, these algorithms fail when used on computer generated images, and produce "ringing" around
sharp edges that appear as coronas.

Try if your Samsung has a "Game Mode" to turn off all image enhancements.

Re #9 - (I'm pretty noob at this stuff) but this does mean that I would get slightly better image quality on my non 4k-tv using the Xbox One X vs original Xbox One?

Yes, the picture on your 1080p TV would also be improved.
