    Xbox One X not sending audio signal without hard reboot each time it is used


    Recently got an One X and it worked fine for a month or so, then randomly after the last update it started losing its audio output every time I turn it on. In order to regain sound I must go into settings and do a hard reset to regain sound. I use HDMI
    to my TV and then my TV's optical out to the receiver. When I go to the sound settings in the Xbox the "bitstream" option gives me an error saying it can't enable it at this time.

    If there would be a loose Connection MY TV would Display: "There is no Signal"

    But it does not.

    So that means, that the XB1 is sending BlackScreen Signal and no Audio in this short break!

    Definitly a XBOX Problem.

    All other devices works well on My TV.

    HDMI is a standart Protocol which seems to be not used by Microsoft.

    I used another suggested (but not ideal) suggestion and have had no problems since with my Hopper. It was suggested that xbox one is having problems with 1080i signal, thus change Hopper to 720p. Before change, 2 times it didn't work on restart (did hard
    reboot to correct). Since the change, 2 restarts with no problem.

    Hard Reboot Required Every Day

    Mine is doing the same thing without an external hard drive. I Have to reboot every day. I use my xbox to send the DirecTV signal to a projector. If I don't reboot then I have picture, but no sound. Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Not without a receiver/amp of some type. The Xbox isn't configured to produce headphone/speaker-level (amplified) audio. It's designed to send line-level/digital audio to a receiver/decoder/amplifier, like the one built into your TV. Without the amp, there's
    not enough poop in the signal to drive speakers (even small ones).

    Well the hard reboot did not hold.

    I have performed the reboot several times.

    It corrects the audio issue temporarily but then I lose audio in game dvr again.
