    Xbox One X not recognising hard drive as NTFS


    I have formatted my hard drive multiple times to NTFS and plugged it into my xbox. I want to set it to capture location so I do, but then it says it needs to be formatted to NTFS. When it is. Its a usb 3.0 1 TB seagate hard drive.

    May I know if you tried the opposite? I mean, format your hard drive as exFAT or another format. Then connect it to your Xbox and see if you can finally select it.

    If maybe the issue persist after that, please answer the following questions to assist you properly:

    What Xbox console do you have?
    Are you using an insider build / beta OS on it?
    If try using a different drive just for testing purposes, the same happens or are you able to format it?
    May I know if you tried connecting the drive to a different console to see if the issue persist?
    And besides formatting the drive in the PC, what else did you tried?
    In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed

    I have formatted it to ExFat and NTFS but on my console it says this. "First format this device on your PC. To capture clips and screenshots externally storage must be formatted as NTFS. Connect it to your PC and format it, then reconnect it to your Xbox. (0x80bd003c)

    My console is a Xbox One X.

    I have also tried it on other consoles with no luck.

    I am only trying to use this as a capture location.
