    Xbox One X no signal/black screen issues after last update


    Three days ago, I was playing Gears of War 2 when the screen started flickering, went to no signal. I've booted into safe mode, did a complete factory reset. This would work partially only to flicker again. After the last factory reset everything seemed ok but I couldn't go to 4K. Later when I tried again, I was able to enable 4K and it worked a while before again repeating the problem.

    I have tried different hdmi cables and the hdmi cable works fine on my PS4, PC. I've had this Xbox One X since 2017 and never had a single problem until now.

    I'm now downloading an offline update to see if that might fix anything because it seems to be a software bug.

    I can connect to the Xbox on my desktop and stream it.

    Hello there,

    I have an Xbox One X and this issue started occuring after an insider update so I presume you are also part of the insider program. Once I saw the black screen on my tv, my first instinct was to turn off or restart console but instead I ended up just pressing a bunch of the face buttons until the black screen went away. This happened to me twice afterwards the insider team released another update to fix this. Once you get past the screen, update your console and the black screen should go away.

    yeah I occasionally had issues before the latest update, but now after the most recent update, i have so many problems with black screen and live tv. changing channels, sometimes it freezes the live tv signal for several seconds. Going from a game to trying
    to watch live tv, it almost always results in a black screen - but can still hear the sound. only way to resolve it is to reboot the xbox one. I am using it with a tivo setup box. microsoft should reward us for beta testing their hardware.
