    Near new XBox One X with 500GB free disk space.

    Saving in Fallout 4 often brings up message, "There is insufficient space to save your progress. Please delete some of your existing saved content." Comes up regularly, even when there are as few as seven (7) existing saves.

    I did the soft reset. But it has not corrected the problem. I've seen exactly the same pattern of behaviour.

    Hi guys, thanks for all the help.

    The problem was solved in this way. 'Choose character' revealed a hundred or so saves from a previous playthrough. Deleted them all. Freed up tons of save-space.

    I'm really impressed by the community spirit surrounding XBox. This old gamer is very happy to be part of it.

    Also doing some digging. A hard reboot of the saves might be necessary. Deleting the saves or trying to save to a different slot. Apparently this is a ongoing issue with Bethesda games. If you think your hardware might have a problem, you can get

    Deleting the saves will only temp delete, the cloud will try to resync data to the last save, rigtt?

    Thanks for reaching out to the Community for support with this peculiar memory issue saving in Fallout.

    If you haven't already, then I would go ahead and try what we call a soft reset.
    It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

    Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(
    as they will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

    Also make sure that you select the option denoted
    reset and keep my games
    &
    apps.

    to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One    and let us know how that helps with the issue
