Xbox One X making a constant grinding sound

Hi,

My Xbox One X seems to be making a constant grinding sound which is making it a pain to play games and impossible to use as a media player.

It had been making the noise intermittently over the last few months but it started to do it permanently the other week when it was 2 days out of warranty.

My options seem to be pay to get it repaired or pay for a new Xbox which is a little disappointing for a product less than a year old.

Has anyone got any ideas on what it could be or how I could fix it?

Have you hovered the vents as dust can cause noises also check that the cables are all ok.

Also try not to cover the vents as much as possible

It's not a constant one though like the grinding noise saw those on YouTube doesn't sound like mine

It does sound like your console is on its last legs as it were. You are not allowed to open the console as that is considered tampering and you risk getting console banned.

Call support and talk to them about getting a repair. I have sent consoles in in the past and the most I've waited to get it back was 2 weeks.

In the future, try to find a different place to put it that is not so dusty.

Mine is making a grinding, weird noise it also stops but then comes back. Now it hasn't gone away. No scratches on the games, everything works fine, sept the constant loud noise that sounds like a fan, or disc drive. I don't let anyone play it so it doesn't
get worse and screw something up. Is this something I need to send in for repair? Mine is an Xbox 360.

My xbox one doesn't want to read disk at times it takes inserting and ejecting til it works, but during this process xbox one makes a kind of grinding sound. What causing that and it can't be normal?
