Xbox One X makes static noises while playing games.

I just purchased an Xbox One X for my 4k tv that I had for several months. When I play a game it makes a weird noise that either comes from my tv speakers or screen of my tv. It doesn't matter if it's a 360 game or Xbox One or Xbox One X Enhanced. It's
hard to tell where it's coming from. It sounds almost like white noise (static). I talked to Xbox and they had me change the display setting on the Xbox to 1080p and instead of auto detect to HDMI. It quit making the noise for a while but started back up.
When I try to change back to 4k and then back to 1080p it still does it. I tried all my HDMI ports on my tv and it still does it. I tried all sorts of settings on the Xbox and it still does it. I tried all the settings on my tv and still does it. It doesn't
make the noise when I'm watching a movie or show on the movies and tv app. Does anyone know what is going on?

Sorry to hear you are having issues and it sounds like a nightmare trying to figure out whats causing this.

I know its a new Xbox One X but can I ask if you have tried a different HDMI cable? Seems simple but only thing I can think of that could cause issues.

You don’t by any chance have speakers or a soundbar with an optical port /toslink? Was thinking if you did you could try running a HDMI to the TV and connecting audio from the Xbox to speakers via optical/toslink and see if you still got static.

You may have tried this, but check your Audio settings are correct on the Xbox.

I tried another HDMI and still does it. I also tried everything I could think of in the Xbox settings. I emailed LG earlier to see what they say. I'm still waiting for their email. I do have a sound bar I tried that and used the optical from the Xbox to
my sound bar. It still sounded like static when playing a game. It sounds like that I'm out of options.

Did you try a different HDMI cable to see if that fixes it.

Does your tv have an option to do a reset (not a factory reset but a proper shut off and reboot). Most smart tvs now seem to stay on to some degree even when you turn it off. I had a similar audio issue this morning with my TCL tv and found an option
to reset the tv which shut it down and when I turned it back on all was good. Alternatively you could try unplugging everything for 30 seconds or so and plugging it back in see if that sorts it out.
