    Xbox one X major system fault after only 2 years.


    Recently my Xbox one X has begun experiencing an issue where whenever I try to update or install a game the console gives me a message that the "installation stopped" and on the Microsoft website is says to fix this issue I need to restart my console. Once
    I had done that though my console displayed the error message E105 and nothing, not even an offline update will resolve this issue. I have tried everything possible to fix this issue by following all the troubleshooting steps. I even called up Microsoft who
    game me no option other than to pay them $400 AUD to repair my console. Not once did anyone ask me what I had done to fix my issue but instead just demanded I pay them $400AUD which is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced especially when
    the issue at hand is hardware related and is of no result of my own as my box is stored away safely where nothing can possibly get to it to damage it in any way. here is my service request number so that people can see that i have actually contacted Microsoft
    and in fact have been no help at all. the number is 1509160743. If anyone can help me resolve the E105 message without doing an offline update or resetting to factory default as i have already done both of those things please let me know.

    why are xbox one controllers so faulty and wear out fast and unreliable compared to other xbox controller generatioms

    All my controllers from Xbox One to X and Elite 1 & 2 still work and have no faults mechanically. Elite Series 1 my grips came off after two years of abuse. Other than that no problems.

    Sorry dude but its not Microsoft fault, they only provide 12 months guarantee.

    You have owned the Xbox One for roughly 2 years, the guarantee is only for 1 year.

    You’re going to see a steep decline in games that will work on non-series consuls starting next year. Major titles are already launching this year like Star Wars without Xbox One support which includes the one X

    So I would recommend you buy a series S instead of an Xbox one based system if you want it to last 4 years.

    Microsoft often makes revisions and improvements on device designs throughout a generations life. The Xbox One was released in 2013, the One S was 3 years later, and One X was the year after that. A similar trend was with the Xbox 360 where every few years
    a new model would arrive generally with better cooling, HDMI support, or internal wifi. Speculation is all we can do right now, but I think it is safe to say that within 3-5 years after the Series X launches, we might see new revisions. But I highly doubt
    they will release a new model only 1 or 2 years after.

    Its wide enough. Microsoft wants $249 to fix it. I have had 2 xbox one optical drive failures and now a xbox one x after 2 years of light use. Time to consider PS. Had a ps3 since launch and it works with no issues after all these years.
