Xbox One X Loses Network in Instant On Mode

Having a strange issue where both my Xbox One X's seem to have their wireless adapter stop working in Instant On mode. The systems can no longer connect to my Wifi network, in fact they can't see ANY wireless networks when the issue occurs (normally can
see about 4 or 5 networks including neighbors). This seems to happen anywhere from 1 to 5 days after a restart. The only way to address the issue is to restart it, after which it works fine for the next 1 to 5 days.

Tried system reset and static IP. Neither made a difference.

The issue only started in the past two months and happens on both my Scorpio Edition and a recent refurb normal Xbox One X. I have a hardwired Xbox One S that doesn't seem to have the problem.

Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Yeah I have a similar issue when once in awhile it says, wired connected when it's not and the internet doesn't work. When this happens I do a complete shutdown and unplug the power cord and then it's perfectly fine, it calmed down in frequency

I believe this is a known issue that’s currently under investigation. Hopefully a fix comes soon.

 

Mine started doing that too. Now it happens almost every time I turn it on. Only way to fix it so far is to restart it. RRD all over again.

 

Thanks for confirming that it may be a known issue. I asked the staff at my local Microsoft Store and they suggested swapping the system out as they hadn't heard of anything.

I think it started after the June update so it's been a while. Each month I hope the next update fixes it....

 

Just did a little additional research to see if there was some sort of bug list I could follow and saw that there was supposedly a fix for this in last month's update (10.0.17134.4071
- Resolved an issue with wireless and wired networks failing to be detected when the console wakes from instant-on power.)

Too bad, in typical Microsoft fashion, it seems to happen
more often now.

Really appreciate the comment, the MS Store wanted me to swap out my Scorpio Edition for a refurb. Now that I know others are running into this
too, guess all I can do is sit tight. Sorry you're dealing with it too, but misery loves company.

 

Ive been having the same issues, sometimes requiring reboot daily. I guess im glad to hear others are having it as well, but it really kills the “instant on” feature.
