Xbox One X loses HDMI signal one first use

Took delivery of an Xbox One X a couple of months back and originally connected it to a 28" ASUS 4K gaming monitor, which was fine but (under pressure from the kids) moved it to the main 46" Samsung TV (an older HD model). Immediately started getting issues
where on first start up for about the first 15 - 20 mins of gaming, the TV would lose the HDMI signal. Decided it was time to upgrade the TV, so bought a new 2020 model LG QLED 49". Plugged in and all seemed fine for a few weeks, no issues. Then it started
again.

Tried all the obvious like a different HDMI lead, soft reset etc. All to no avail. Sometimes it will lose the picture for up to 5 mins. Seems to be mostly when playing 4K games.

At my wits end with this. Please can someone help?

It is hard telling what the issue is but does sound more like a problem with your Xbox instead of a tv. Does the TV have any other problems with HDMi devices or jus the Xbox?

If its a problem with your Xbox and it's still under warranty Microsoft may be able to help you get it fixed or replaced. You can go to this link here: https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/warranty-service/register-your-product

It is hard to tell if its the Xbox or TV because you did say that it worked well for a couple weeks. I would start out by checking the warranty through the link then contact Microsoft if the warranty is still good. Hope this helps and that you can get back

Mine had been doing that last week then all of a sudden it wouldn't get any signal at all to the TV. I tried different HDMI cables, even though I knew they worked because they were used in other devices. I even tried hooking to another TV and nothing. So
unfortunately I believe the HDMI out port just failed and customer service came to the same conclusuon as I. 2 MONTHS AND 1 DAY IN AND THE HDMI PORT FAILED ON MY $500 CONSOLE. So I had to ship it in for repair and will be without my X for a minimum of 2-4
weeks. It's going to be a really long 2-4 weeks. Not too happy about this whole ordeal, but I'll have to make the best of it.

I changed the colour settings from 12 bit to 10 bit and that seems to have solved the problem for me

I have the same issue. LG OLED E6

Same issue here with my LG OLED B6. I am running it through an Onkyo TX-NR555, though. I don't have any problems with my PS4 Pro HDR handshaking, though. It seems to be Xbox One X specific, and it happens with my by consoles (my wife has one too so I
tested it, and both are in the latest alpha preview).

If I set the Xbox One X to 1080p it runs fine. It seems specific to running in 4k. It won't even get a signal in 4k anymore. I have to uncheck 4k otherwise it loses signal when trying to change reslolution for a 4k game.

I have a replacement coming from Amazon tomorrow. If that does the same then it's going back for a refund and I'm done with it all.
