: Xbox one X keeps making my Router reset.

also have tried hardwire and wifi no luck

Thank you for keeping us updated. The most common cause of this particular error message is inputting the password incorrectly. We suggest confirming your network's password by making your cell phone forget your WiFi and connecting to it again. If the
cell phone is able to connect to your wireless network with your password, we recommend entering the password on the Xbox One X with the same capitalization and symbols.

It is possible that the network adapter for the console may need a repair. We would like to make sure the router is not the issue before we suggest creating a repair for the console. Another troubleshooting step, if the previous one does not work,
is to restore the router to factory defaults. This will help the console connect to the router as if it was the first time. Each router has the factory reset button on a different area. They are generally located on the back of the router. It is a very small
button that will be labeled, "reset." After factory resetting the router, we suggest

power cycling the Xbox One X by holding down the power button on the console for ten seconds. Be sure to let us know the results!

I have this exact issue. His is my setup:

My son has a One S

I have a Series X

I was able to set the One S as my home xbox

I added his account to the Series X. Went to setting and then to my home xbox. At first, it is checked, then I get the circle, and the check mark is removed. Click on make this my home xbox on the Series X using his account, the circle spins, and then back to the "unchecked" box.

Checking his (One S), my account still has that xbox as my home xbox.

Reset networking, reset MAC address, flushed ARP cache on my switch and router, restarted all of those devices, and reset the Series X (both hard power cycle and factory reset). No luck.

Is it due to his account technically being a Xbox One profile and mine a Series X?

Also, my son's account is a child account but, unrestricted.

Okay, so far I've full shutdown and unplugged xbox one x and unplugged router for one minute; cleared mac address on xbox one x; opened up all the ports for xbox live; tunred off ports for ps4 pro; unplugged ps4 pro ethernet from router all with no luck.
I've done literally everything. Well... I'm going to reset my router settings to default and if that doesn't help well, then I'm out of ideas.

It works fine on my Xbox One X and Xbox One S.

I've heard of people having success by resetting their router to system defaults. But that might not be an easy thing to do and re-set back up for some.
