Xbox One X issues (HDR, crashes, disconnects)

These are all problems I have had since I got the Xbox One X a few months after it launched.

Let's start with the worst. HDR. It works fine when actually playing. However, when I finish playing and go back to the home screen, half the time, the HDR stays on, when it's supposed to deactivate. Meaning my home screen and any game or app I launch afterward
looks terrible because it's using HDR when it's not supported. To counter this, every time I finish playing a game, Rocket League for example, I have to go to the home screen first before closing the game to make sure HDR is off. If it is still activated,
I have to go back into the game, then back to home, over and over again until HDR deactivates. THEN I can close the game. Sometimes I get lucky and HDR turns off without issues. Other times I have to go back into the game and go out to the home screen multiple
times. It's tedious and annoying. This issue happens with any game that has HDR.

Now for crashes. I'm playing a game, and I decide to watch a clip, or look at a screenshot. Even if I want to check club feed or the store. Once I finish doing that, I go back to my game which is still launched, because it says "Resume", and it crashes immediately
when I open the game back up. This has happened for ARK: Survival Evolved, Burnout Paradise Remastered, Soul Calibur VI, and Minecraft, with only one of these games supporting HDR (in case that info is relevant).

As for disconnects, this happens on any game I play where you can party up for online matches. It's happened in PUBG, Rocket League, and Forza Horizon 4. If I'm in an online game with a group, and decide I want to go to the home screen for whatever reason,
whether it's once again watching a clip, checking the feed, going to the store, I will return to the game (assuming it hasn't crashed) to find that I have been disconnected from the party. In Rocket League and PUBG, it gives me a connection error and says
I was disconnected from the lobby. In Forza, it will just say I'm in singleplayer, and that's it.

My friends who play these same games with me on Xbox One and Xbox One S do not have this problem. I'd really hope MS plans fixes for these problems, becasue it's been about a year now since the One X released, and this is still happening to me.

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with difficulty with your console running smoothly.

Now, if you have already tried a factory reset and your console is still acting peculiar, then the next thing that I'd suggest is making sure your network is set up to the specifications outlined in

Network settings on Xbox One.

If that's all set up correctly and you're still experiencing issues, it might be the result of a hardware problem with that particular console that you received. For that I would say to create a repair order through
Device support or get in contact with
customer support and see if an agent can help you with that.

console, Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

Try this out first and let us know the results.

Doing a soft factory reset did nothing to help these problems, and I do a power cycle every day.

Erm........................You do realise that any game that runs on the Xbox One X also runs on the Xbox One S? And because of this, any game that is HDR on the Xbox One X is also HDR on the Xbox One S.

So basically, any game you find that is HDR on the Xbox One X is also HDR on the Xbox One S

Is that official?

HDR is an "Xbox One X Enhanced" feature for those games, that's official words.

For example Rise of the Tomb Raider, NO HDR on Xbox One S.
