    Xbox one x instant-on issue


    I just purchased a certified refurbished xbox one x and everything seems to be running fine except for the instant-on feature. When I turn off the console in instant-on mode it turns back on fine with the controller right away, but if I wait around 2 minutes
    I hear a beeping sound (different than startup chime) and the fans stop, and after this I have to press the button on the console to power up from a full shutdown.

    I have seen that this has been a problem in the past and haven’t found any concrete fixes. I have tried a power cycle and reset (keeping games & apps) and the console is plugged straight into the wall. This is more of a nuisance than anything, but given
    how large games are getting the loss of auto-updates would be pretty frustrating.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Have you noticed any other problems associated with this? if that’s it I’m fine with just setting it to energy-saving mode and moving on.

    The Instant-On feature on the Xbox One, One S and One X consoles can cause compatibility issues with the on board switch inside some routers, I would suggest you try turning off the Instant-On feature on your console and try connecting.

    To turn off the Instant-On feature on your Xbox One, One S and One X consoles:

    1. Press the Xbox logo button on your controller to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings > All settings.
    3. Select Power & startup > Power mode & startup.
    4. Select Power mode and change the setting to Energy-saving mode.
    5. Once the Energy-saving mode has been selected you should no longer experience disconnection issues.
