    Xbox One X initial setup won't accept existing emails.


    I bought my fiancee an Xbox One X goldrush edition. During setup it asks for an email to proceed through the setup. We have tried three existing emails.

    The one linked to my account exusting account.

    The one linked to her new account.

    Them one not connected to a existing xbox account.

    Each time she is told that email isnt available.

    Thoigh she entered my email incorrectly once and it proceeded and sent an activation xode to a nonexisting email.

    It has been four days and we are getting very frustrated. I remember this exact issue happening before but forgot how i fixed it.

    The email is fine. Last time i some how go around it. I just dont rember home. I setmay have it up through the app.

    That is what i thought at first but it never prompts us to make a password. So there would be no way to access the new email.

    After i posted this question. I was asked to verify my email. Maybe that will fix it. It has been on the Microsoft account since 2007 but who know. Works fine on my xbox.

    If it keeps saying that the email isn't available, it sounds like it's trying to use the beginning of your email to create a new Outlook email, maybe? For example, if your current email is "*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***" it sounds like it possibly trying to create "*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***"
    instead. Not sure, but maybe a possibility since it's saying the email you're entering isn't available. I've only seen this when trying to make a brand new account and create a new email with it. Are there options in the set up to sign in with your current
    email or current Microsoft account? You should definitely be able to use an already existing email.

    Here is a link as well that has steps for the setup for the Xbox One X. Maybe go through this and troubleshoot that way to make sure there's not a step missing. Good luck and I hope you get the email set up working so you can enjoy your console asap.
