    Hi,

    I had a wonderful display with my Xbox one S for 4K and HDR movies on OLED screen, but now with the Xbox One X, black level are so low in HDR mode display that its almost impossible to watch something. Hope it could be fixed soon with an update, but along
    with the poor controller quality, I'm not having the best experience so far with my new Xbox Xbox one X horrible HDR video display ( both 4K blu-ray and Netflix) :(

    Netflix: No UHD on XBOX One S

    I can verify this issue...Netflix UHD does not work on Xbox One S. I have a Vizio M55-D0 with the latest firmware enabling HD10 support. My TV is now recognized by the One S video settings as 4K HDR capable. I am able to enable HDR support and it works beautifully
    with the Blu-Ray app (Mad Max 4K Blu Ray playing 4K, 24fps, HDR as verified by the Vizio settings app). However when I start Netflix, the screen flashes, colors mute, and video fails to switch to HDR or 24fps. Netflix app is clearly broken right now for HDR.
    If I switch HDR off on the One S, Netflix app is fine, plays 4K correctly, colors are fine obviously no HDR.

    XBOX ONE S poor HDR support with UHD BluRays

    I'm having similar issue with HDR content especially through 4K UHD Blu-ray playback. There seems to be no fix for past 10 months. This is very poor of Microsoft to ignore. Now that Xbox One X is out, it too have HDR issues with 4K UHD player & Netflix app.

    Am looking into getting a 4k HDR TV to go with my new Xbox One X, but problems like this are making me worry about the advantage of the Xbox One X overall. I realise this is a complicated area of technology, but the fact that you can't just turn off HDR for
    an app that doesn't work correctly with it means you're stuck with bad issues like this.

    Yes, 4K HDR Dolby Vision works with the Blu-Ray player and NetFlix on the Xbox One X.

    When will Microsoft patch the One X to support Dolby Vision on the 4K Blueray player

    I have a XBOX One X connected to an OLED LG C8. If I use the Netflix app on XBOX One X then the LG will display Dolby Vision. So I know that it is passing. But If I use a 4K Bluray that has Dolby Vision, the player will only output HDR。Blu-ray
    playback is already up to date.

    How does the xbox one s know to upscale or input game info to 4k, if the games are not the 4k version?

    Xbox One S outputs game content at 1080p and with an HDR color palette, if the game supports it. So no, you are not seeing it in 4K. If you want to see the compatible game in 4K resolution, you would need to use Xbox One X.

    However, Xbox One S will output video content in 4K, such as UltraHD 4K Blu-ray discs and 4K content from streaming services like Netflix.
