Xbox one x headset optical headset issues

Is there any solutions for the various threads pointing out issues with using an optical headset.

i have a turtle beach pro headset with tactical audio controller and the audio is great for me but whenever im in a party i get complaints that my voice is distorted to various degrees.

i have adjusted all settings as suggested and reset xbox etc.

is there going to be a software fix for this???

Have you tried performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this? Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in
and restart the console.

I have a Turtle Beach headset and I haven't had any issues with mine.

Xbox one x does have an optical port on the back of the console. The controller that it comes with has a 3.5 mm so you can hook a pair of good headsets to them.

in my opinion, a good headset that uses the optical port are astro a50, and a good basic stereo headset to plug into the controller is hyperx cloud alpha. Of course there are alot of options out there.

Hello Deborah, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

It depends on the console. If he has an Xbox up to the One X then there should be an Optical Port on the back. Most sound bars will offer an optical in option for this as they offer a really good audio option for the console. If he's using the Xbox Series X or S then the Optical Port is not a feature so he would need to purchase either an Xbox compatable Wireless headset or a wired headset that can plug into his controller.
