  1. Xbox One X HDD issues persist after unenrolling from Insider Preview

    Hello,

A while ago I got a second-hand Xbox One X that was experiencing start up errors that I believed were due to the console being enrolled in the Insider Preview updates. After trying an Offline System Update and resetting the console to factory settings multiple times, I was able to get the console working long enough to unenrol the console from the Insider Preview. After unenrolling, the console went through a software update which I believed was successful as the settings menu showed the OS version as:

    10.0.19041.5496
    rs_xbox_release_2011.210105-1930

which the xbox.com website shows as being the latest OS version. However, the console only remains stable for 20-60 minutes before freezing and not booting back up again after being turned off. The only way to get the console to display anything is to force it into the troubleshooting menu which displays the OS version as:

    19041.4788.amd64fre.vb_release_xbox_dev_2011.201111-0000

which I believe is an Insider Preview OS version. I've tried re-enrolling and unenrolling the console again to try and force the console to update to the public OS version again as well as resetting the console to factory settings multiple times but the errors still persist. What is my best course of action to try and get my console working?

    Thank you

    Sound crackle/popping noises

Are you in the preview program by any chance?

I had this the other day after an update. When I checked, I had been in the preview program. Unenrolling fixed it. Best thing to do would be to unenrol from the program and see if the problem persists. Bare in mind that after you unenrol, you will have to
run through the initial setup of your xbox again.

Games won't work Xbox is glitching, now screen won't even turn on!!!

Be aware that you sign up for the Insider Preview voluntarily! They specifically warn you that with the Insider Program you agree to use UNTESTED and possibly non-working software! They are asking the volunteers that signed up for
the Insider Preview to test the software and report problems, so they can fix these issues before they release the next version officially for everyone.

That's why support couldn't help you with Insider Preview issues, and referred you to the Insider Reddit, where they discuss issues that they found during testing.

If you want to un-enroll from the Insider Preview Program to return to a stable system version, start the Xbox Insider App.

There choose to unenroll from the Insider Preview.

Depending on the currently installed Insider version, your console might have to do a factory reset. Also, the process to unenroll the console can take up to several hours.

After the console has started new, you should be back to the official system software.

xbox reset to factory settings after update.

    Hi there,

From within the Insiders Hub app, you can go to Insider Content > Xbox One Update Preview (from the System column) > Manage > select Unenroll from the available options.

As for the factory settings issue - have you checked in the
    Preview forums
yet to see if others are having that issue?

How to i leave minecraft beta

    How to Leave the Beta
    1. On Xbox One or a Windows 10 PC, sign in with the account that registered for the Minecraft Beta and launch the Xbox Insider Hub.
    2. Navigate to Insider content > Minecraft (or Minecraft for Windows 10 on PC)
    3. Select Manage.
    4. Use the radio button to select Unenroll (Leave this preview), then select Done.
    5. Wait an additional 30-60 minutes after unenrollment completes (Pending no longer appears in the Xbox Insider Hub).
    6. Uninstall and reinstall Minecraft.

How do I revert back to a normal homepage on my Xbox one x. My son changed something and my homepage isn’t the same.

"I want to revert back to the normal homepage. When I hit view button on homepage, it doesn’t do anything."

As far as I'm aware the New Experience Dashboard is only available to select consoles enrolled in a Xbox Insider preview OS. You would have to unenroll the console from the preview. Use the Insider Hub to unenroll. The General Available OS will be installed once you leave the preview.
