    Xbox One X Has Power But Won’t Turn On


    Hi there I recently purchased a second hand Xbox Series X and I saw that it turned on no problem. But now taken it home I’ve tried to turn it on and no answer. I’ve tried to power cycle the console, I’ve tried to put the console into trouble shooting mode. But when I tried pressing the power and the eject button together it creates a buzzing noise, I thought that there was a disk in the drive and that was causing the problem. So to my surprise I pulled out a Xbox one game when I manually ejected the disk out. With that I tried both the power cycle and the trouble shooting menu button combination but no luck. But that hum is still comes on when I press the power and the eject button at the same time. So I just confused and trying to see if I get the console working.

    Absolutely, and also trying to access the Xbox Troubleshooter Page is a good call however since it’s also not working the repair or replacement will be the next option.

    See I tried that but the humming sound doesn’t that mean that the consoles on? I just wondered if someone knew what that meant not a by the numbers reply. I know your trying to help but I just wanted see what that was.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    Kindly try a different wall outlet and check if the console will successfully turn on. Also, if possible use a different power cable.

    If the same issue occurs you may need to get a replacement or return the console so you can repurchase a working one.
