    It doesn't matter. I use all 3 for my hard drives, and they work fine.
    Yes but the reason I was asking is the last time I changed my 3Gb drive for a 6 Gb one it was identified as "external drive 2" which leaves people looking around for the other drive.Seems stupid I know but what can you do?Do you format new drive ntfs or
    fat 16?Can't remember.

    You can have it connected to any of the USB ports on the Xbox.

    Just make sure your HDD has a 3.0 UBS.
    Always buy them Xbox One X compatible anyway which means usb 3 but thank you

    The new drive has to be formatted in NTFS.
