XBOX ONE X: Guide Menu no "Swoosh" Sound and annoying sound Issues

Hi,

I have a really strange and according to goolge very rare problem:

When i open up my Guide-Menu (The small menu on the left, that opens when pressing the Guide-Button) there is no "Swoosh" Sound at all. This alone would not be a problem, when i would not have a super annoying cracked sound when opening up an application:

You klick on an Application in the Guide-Menu (eg. My Application or Settings). Then the "Opening-Sound" Plays "halfway" to picture it better: the whole sound should be a "Ding" when open an application. On my XBOX it goes "Di...." than the application opens.
When i press the guide button again the "..ng" from the sound plays in a very annoying crackling way.

It happens only in the Guide-Menu. When i open up applications from the dashboard i dont have this problem. It buggers me that i also dont have the "Swoosh" sound when pressing the guide button.

I tried the following:

- Power Cycle

- Set Video Settings override to HDMI

- Change everything under Sound

Before i forget: My console is connected to the TV via HDMI and to my receiver via Fibre Cable.

Can someone help me, or at least give me a tipp?

I am having the same issue. A crackly sound when pressing the xbox button on controller and shuffling through tabs. I just tried to record something and the playback was also super sped up and chipmunk sounding. My setup is hdmi into smart tv.

Thank you for your continued updates.

I believe that the way you have your audio set-up could potentially be the culprit, I'd like to see if you are able to reproduce the same audio distortion when you use it just plugged in directly into you TV via an HDMI cable [or IR cable if its applicable].

I also wanted to ask if you were
closing your games or apps properly? I believe that this could be one of the reasons as to your apps making some strange noises.

Give it a go, and let us know about what the results are after all!

I just used the "Ding" as metaphor. I mean the sound the box makes when opening up something out of the guide menu (The sound is hard to describe). I just wanted to point out that my box make the first part of the sound when opening the app and the second
part of the sound the next time when reopening the guide menu.

Sorry for the confusion

To be honest, the more I read the more i think it is something related to my sound setup (receiver etc.). But im running out of ideas here

I never had a different Audio setup, and i have this problem since I´ve got the box. I think with my previous ONE S I dont had this problem, with the same sound setup.

As stated previously, use the Report-a-Problem feature you now should have as you joined the Omega ring of Insiders Preview.

Long press the Nexus button and choose the option. The more info the developers get the better.
