Xbox one X free game

I was told by a customer service representative to post here to request a free game as promised at purchase of my Xbox one X. The case for support chat reference is 1425178570. On purchase bid Xbox I was told by retailer I could claim a free game from Microsoft
I chose Forza Motorsport 7 and did not receive any game in box just a generic Xbox box with a gamepass trial, the chap at support chat said if I post in the forum a moderator would be able to give me a code for the download as they are unable to issue the
game directly to my Xbox live account. I have the photo of receipt of purchase and the box but would rather not attach to open post I can happily send this directly where required

Free Xbox one X game

So a few hours have past and no response so I assume I got the usual Microsoft customer service experience. So the chat I had with support states "don't worry I'm sure you will get your game" and "moderators on the forum have access to the download codes
we don't" I fully assume this is misinformation as it makes no sense and I'm wasting my time posting anything on a forum but please correct me if I'm wrong moderators, I'm not impressed with Microsoft customer service at present and have been a loyal customer
for two decades including beta testing the original Xbox live service day one. A simple reply would be nice.

Since that is not a rewards program issue, rewards support will not be able to assist You would need to contact the retailer for assistance.

Xbox customer support you win the most useless customer service of the year award. Not only did this guy direct link me to this location to post to get my free game he assured me in live chat I would be successful in this endeavour and reassured me after
I told him this was a reward section and irrelevant that it was in fact the best location to post and the best way to achieve my goal. Jeffery F you are a plonker. I may well just buy a playstation this joke of a runaround is getting old when I need any kind
of assistance.

Hi,

Physical games on the Xbox One platform are region free and work on all Xbox One console's.

So regardless of any region differences with Series X, your Xbox One games will not be affected as the region free is hard coded into the discs (for want of a better explanation). My guess is that the Series X will be region free for physical games anyway.

If your question is if there will be a special edition console, all you could do is wait for an announcement. The game will be playable on the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X consoles. If you buy it for the Xbox One you get the upgrade for the Series X
for free.

I am having the same problems. I cannot purchase Xbox 360 games on my Xbox One X or my PC whether or not they are free, but there are no problems in purchasing Xbox One games.
