    my Xbox one x has a video issue with frame rate/lag, it has crashed the console before too. When the console crashes, it freezes and shuts down while flashing the power led(fast flashes). I have sent it in for repair twice and they reset it and "extensively
    test the console"... no repairs made and can't find anyone with similar issues. Does anyone have any idea?

    Cables won't cause a frame rate drop, they would cause lag. So if you are specifically noticing a frame rate drop when playing single player then it's probably the game just can't handle that much going on. Before thinking it's caused by something being
    wrong with your Xbox, can you try recreating the frame rate drop on a friends Xbox?

    make sure the vents are not covered. Mine was and was doing exactly what your mentioning, I cleared out the vents and moved it to an open area and it stopped lagging and shutting off.

    I had a similar problem and I replaced the HDMI cable and it stopped. I don't know if this will help you. But it's worth a shot.

    When I saw EuroGamer's Digital Foundry performance tests of this game a few weeks ago, I was pretty shocked by the frame rate issues. The base Xbox One version was only 900P and suffered frame rate drops as low as 21fps! Come on! How on earth is that even
    playable??

    The One X version was a great resolution wise, but those frame drops were still pretty bad, and what about those loading times?

    Poor frame rate and frame rate drops are one thing, lag is something else. When we refer to 'lag' we usually mean network latency and this would only be an issue in online games. In single player, the performance of your internet connection makes no difference.

    What 'Game' are you having issues with and what's your PC spec?
