    Xbox one x flickering


    There is a flickering happening when I play or watch in 4k. Has happened twice in the past two months since I bought the console new. First time it stopped. This time it has been a few days and it is still happening. If I switch to 1080p it's fine. Have
    changed all settings trying to figure it out and did a hard reset on Xbox. Also does it in all HDMI ports on tv. Tv is a Vizio m70-e3. I also have a video of it. Any solutions?? Havent bought a new HDMI cable yet.

    I have the same problem.

    But here on my Philips PUS 8601 it is like a graphical glitch or something like that.

    It is not a flickering black screen, it is just for under a second a bright light with a blurred graphic.

    I get this when I play Rocket League, F1 2017, Tropico 5... and even in PUBG.

    I also tried several HDMI cables and a lot of different settings on my Xbox and TV.

    And I have the same awareness that this problem does not occur when I turn my Xbox on 1080p.

    I bought this console on release date. Some weeks ago I did not have this problem.

    This is how it looks. It is captured in a video because you can see it for just under a second and it goes back to normal before a few minutes later it happens again...

    Xbox One X flickering screen

    So I just recently bought an Xbox One X a few days ago, to upgrade from the original Xbox One. My tv began to flicker here and there, like a brief black screen while gaming. I messed with the video settings, tried multiple HDMI cables, set it for 10 bit,
    allowed 50hz, 24hz, 4K, and HDR. All of which my tv does support. And yes I did activate the enhanced format for the HDMI 2.0 ports. The tv itself is a hisense tv (50h6c). When I switched the xbox to only 1080p the issue went away. Any advice on how I could
    run it in 4k with no issues?

    Make sure you set display options as below.

    -Set color depth to 10bit! (Do not set it to 12bit!)

    -Uncheck YCC 4:2:2!

    Both of above 2 settings must be set. neglecting one will cause flickering. I've been playing without a single flicker after it.

    You talk about going black but have flickering on Topic.

    There was an official Problem with HDR Flickering on that TVs and Xbox but that should be fixed a time ago
    The screen flickers when HDR or HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour is on in the TV, after a while of flickering it goes black, then the TV loses the signal from the Xbox. That's
    my problem.

    If I deactivate HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Colour, then there's no more flickering and no more black screen.

    Well it isn't fixed yet, I'm 100% sure I am on the latest firmware on both the LG C9 and the Xbox One X.

    Hey, having the same problem here. Using Xbox One X. It was working fine for a year and recently started flickering. I have bought a new 4k tv and it's even worse. I bought a new high speed HDMI cable: new set of issues - complete black screen or it flickers
    heavily. Went to test the XBOX on a 3rd tv and it flickers as well. I'd appreciate some help.

    Sorry to hear this.

    Often there is a Menu to Change the MODE (Film/Games/Internet) on TV. Try this, because often not the XBOX cause the problem.

    Did you make sure the titles your trying to play are 4k ready? I know you said home screen flickers.. Games that arent 4k compatible wont work well. I play with a 4k TV, 10 bit with YCC 4:2:2 off. All I can suggest really is tweaking settings for TV. Pls
    update if you find a solution.
