Xbox one x downstairs Xbox one upstairs NAT still Strict

Hello,

I cannot for the life of me get this fixed the easiest way possible. I have an Xbox One X downstairs can call it Xbox #1. I have an Xbox One upstairs in my bedroom, which can be called Xbox #2. I have a gateway, that is both router and modem. First question: can't find in the forum if my Gateway allows two different consoles on my network. I've read so many help FAQ's, and I am not good with networks, port forwarding, alternating ports al that stuff. Is there a simple step by step process to have both X box consoles on the network? I'm only playing one of them at a time, and with Xbox #2 I can't get my NAT type to open. Please please can anyone help me figure this out? Much appreciated.

The recommended action when you have two consoles on the same network is to alternate the MAC address of one of them.

Have you tried? This would be the simplest solution.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system, then Settings.

In the General tab, select Network settings > Advanced settings > Alternate MAC address > Clear.

Restart your console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your controller to open the Power Center.

Select Restart console and then select Restart.

(If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)

Sign in to your console.

This is rather annoying! I go in and it shows strict/moderate. Then I run the multiplayer connection test and press all bumper buttons and it says I'm behind port symmetric and something else nat. Run test again it says I'm behind a cone nat but shows Open.
If I keep running it just seems to randomly change. Any reason for this?

I have a slightly more complicated setup (not that bad). Router in sitting room is connecting to router upstairs which is connected to a wireless antenna (wireless broadband provider). The upstairs router forwards all xbox ports to the downstairs router.
The downstairs router then forwards these ports to the xbox. Nat is enabled on the upstairs router and switched off in the downstairs router. Its really confusing why it keeps changing!

For the record, upstairs router is a Billion 7800N. Downstairs is Asus running Tomato firmware (bridge mode).

I have an Xbox One X downstairs and my One S Is upstairs as a media player. Every now and then if I shut off the X and go upstairs and turn on the S it won't quite grab on to live without a restart. As others said, just a restart, odds are good you are
okay.

Same here. I have the game downloaded on my Xbox 360 upstairs but downstairs on my Xbox One it's still showing as £54.99.

Well the thing is my setup is upstairs and my modem is downstairs but I have a ethernet cable ran up to my room where I just plugged it in to an ethernet switch.

Once I did that it turned my NAT to strict...
