    Same thing is happening with mine too had 1000 mb update for red dead had to reinstall the whole 100gigs also does it with all my other updates black ops 4 destiny 2 halo very frustrating because basically every week im have to download huge games and my
    isp is going to throttle me or charge me for going over monthly limit if that happens looks like in gonna have to switch to ps4 im not having this issue on it.

    Hi Lucky!

    Thanks for reaching out to us with this issue. Its possible that the change may be due to an incorrect installation the first time the game was downloaded and installed. Also, if you previously cancelled the update for the game and then restarted it, it
    would cause it to reinstall the entirety of the game as well. At this point, its best to just wait for it to complete rather than to stop and restart the update. Super sorry for any inconvenience that this may be causing you as well.

    Rockstar RDR2 Forums     to see if anyone else has a solution or has had the same experience. Alternately, you can reach out to Rockstar about the issue directly as well.

    Any chance you are using an external drive? I had some issues where the problem was the external drive and it kept forcing me to re-download the entire game anytime it patched.

    Xbox Insider program    ? Is the power mode of the console set to
    instant-on or energy-saving    ? If the console is on instant-on, we recommend changing the console to energy-saving. Be sure to let us know the results!
