Xbox One X - Display Blinks to Total Black Every Few Seconds

My Xbox One X screen blinks to black every few seconds when on the Home screen and other screens as we;ll, except when i'm playing a game, then it doesn't blink at all The TV never blinks when using it for anything else, e.g. watching TV, etc., except when
the Xbox One X is on and displaying from the Home Screen.

The blinking is random, sometimes it's after 10 seconds and other times it's after 30-40 seconds. The HDMI cable is he one that I've always used with the Xbox One X. I also have an Xbox 360 connected to the same monitor and it never-ever blinks.

1.Try resting your xbox

2.check your hdmi cable

3.try power cycle by holding the logo on the console for 10 secs

Select System > Settings
> System > Console info.
Select Reset console.

I had that issue

Its latency

Either replace the cable with a hdr10 cable usually the one included with the xbox and not have anything beteeen the tv and the xbox and hdmi 1 so no amp etc

If you want aound out do it properly and hook everything to your tv except the stereo and the optical out

This reducea latency

The more things you have between devices the more thoroughput you lose along the way

Have you tried the one that comes with the xbox one x ? Its ratedfor hdr10

Yes of course - i used the one that originally came with the Xbox One X. Even swapped ends just in case. What I have found interesting enough is that by changing the video Display Fidelity setting on the Xbox One X from 12 bit to 10 bit, the blinking stopped.

Now I left it at 10 bit for a few days and last night out of curiosity changed it back to 12 bit and the blinking was not present. So It is very odd indeed.

Wonder if it's something in the refresh rates. Might go back into your settings and make sure they are high enough. A low refresh rate can cause screen flicker.

Help me remember, where are the re-fresh rates in the xbox One X - In the Advanced Video Modes? I believe I have all checked all that are not grayed out.
