Xbox One X Disconnect from Wifi/Xbox live problems. Please help.

Okay just got my xbox one x about a week ago and this problem has persisted from the get go. When I'm playing a game, or even just watching netflix all connectivity will stop and I will either be booted from an online session (such as forza horizon) or
streaming will stop working. When I go to network settings it says I am still connected to my wifi but it wont actually connect unless I type the router password back in. At first this happened like once or twice a day and it happened 6 times in 30 minutes
yesterday. It makes the console unusable. I have contacted both Microsoft and my isp to open up the certain ports, microsoft did some work on their end but still no luck. Just keeps disconnecting and i will have to enter the password again or restart the whole
xbox. What's weird is that my older Xbox one that I have had for years, hasnt and still doesnt have this problem. I unplugged the X and put the older one back on the tv but it doesnt ever disconnect. Is this just an X issue? Like is this a well know problem?
How do i fix this? Thank you.

Need help setting up two consoles.

I had a one S, and then got an X. Decided to keep the S and move it to the bedroom. I absolutely love the ease of the cloud saves and how I can be gaming downstairs and continue playing any game when I come to the bedroom.

I’m having a little trouble with WiFi. Both units are set as my “home” console and same login. All my games and everything always come up fine but whichever console I use second is disconnected from WiFi/Live and the only way to fix it is a hard restart. Meaning I can’t just reconnect to live as it seems to disconnect it from my WiFi.

They’re both on the 5ghz band and same network.

Anyone know what the fix might be? Appreciate the help.

 

Xbox One X wifi issues

Hello, I was wondering if anyone else has problems with the Xbox One X constantly disconnecting from wifi and frequently lagging. I have reset the wifi, the xbox, opened all ports, and tried everything recommended. What is there to do about this?

How many devices are using the same internet ? Have you tried clearing the MAC address?

 

Its dual band so I have placed my parents stuff on the 2.4 while just my xbox and computer are on the 5 ghz. I havent tried the MAC address, how do i do that?

Thanks for reaching out to us with this issue! Since your Xbox One X seems to be getting bumped from Xbox Live, you may wish to try our

Xbox One Disconnect Solution. It has loads of great troubleshooting which should get you connected again in no time.

In regard to your question concerning how to clear the MAC address as recommended by our Ambassador, you'd go to your Settings > Network > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC address, then select Clear. Please be advised that this will cause
the console to restart. This step is worth a try as well.
