Xbox One X Crashing and showing due to overheating....it's not!

Try to clean your fans with a little Q-tip. I wish you the best. The fans are on the sides. Under and also the bottom right corners. Hope I helped.

I have to clean out the vents on my Xbox fairly regularly, I feel like there's some invisible dust monster just throwing dust all over my console whenever I'm asleep or something :') It's insane!

Maybe it needs some maintenance already, I don't know how much time you have with it, but it can have a lot of hair or dust inside it

I recently had this issue with Doom Eternal and have not been able to play Battlefront 2. This has only happened on my main system which has plenty of ventilation but it is in a wooden tv stand. Pulling it out has greatly reduced this so I have came to the
conclusion that any kind of blockage or non-open area can be causing the heat to sit around the system and forcing a reboot.

Looking into this, I have found many different games causing it for different people.

Had the same issue. I solved this problem because my xbox was connected to a multiple socket. After I connected it direct to the wall socket it works fine. I think it's because of an intigrated overvoltage protection of the power supply.

Additional I cleaned the Xbox and removed all dust with compressed air.

This was my fix for RDR2 and other games in HDR.

For COD MW I bought an SSD and also no more problems

This has worked for me in the past too. Unplugging the Xbox One console completely, taking it outside and using a compressed air to safely blow out dust from all of the vents that are accessible. Weirdly, this helped me with WiFi connectivity issues as well
