Xbox one X crashing A LOT

So ive had my xbox one X for about 2 and a half years. It has worked wonderfully for a long time but for the past 6 months or so, its performance has degraded signifcantly. Its like its temperamental. Some days it works for hours no problems, some days it
takes 20 minutes to start up and crashes about 30 minutes into a game. ive done everything i can think of and find in the support forums including factory reset both keeping everything and, regretably, erasing it all and completely factroy reseting and nothing permanently helps. Ive done hard resets, clearing all local data,
both factory resets and NOTHING works. My xbox will basically be working fine and suddenly while playing says that the could data couldnt sync, (ive done all of the steps for that and nothing helps) then my xbox guide freezes while i try to quit out of the
game and wont let me scroll through anything on the guide (however i can still play whatever game is currently loaded most of the time). After a while i guess the xbox just gives up and shuts off and once that happens it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to
well over an hour to get it started and running again and eventually all that i have explained above will happen again.

is there anything else shy sending it in for repairs that i can do to remedy this??

I dont want to spend 250$ to send it in just to buy the series X a month later.
