Xbox one X crashes and completely shuts down during cutscenes

This issue started with Darksiders 3. I was fighting Gluttony and half way through the fight there's a cutscene. My xbox would shut off during this cutscene every time I tried. I did a hard reset on my xbox, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, did a
factory reset on the xbox, made sure it was well ventilated, all of the standard troubleshooting. Nothing worked. I eventually just skipped the cutscene and was able to finish the fight. Then the same thing happened during another cutscene which I had to skip
in order to beat the game. Now the same thing has started happening in Star Wars Battlefront II. Every time I open a daily crate my xbox shuts off. It didn't do this before. It only started happening after the Darksiders 3 issue. How can I fix this?

has anything changed/improved/gotten worse in the meantime?

Asking because my One X crashed and shut down while playing Battlefront 2 (first Mission with Luke Skywalker on Pillio).

Now when I try to load the last save (continue campaign) it crashes, distorts the sound and shuts of on the loading screen every time.

I can load any other mission before and play for hours, other games have no issues at all (RDR2, Titanfall 2, etc.).

I really have no clue what is causing this, only read that some other people seem to have the same problem.

A hardware issue seems unlikely because everything else works flawlessly and it is definitely not overheating...

That thread is a fix for a bug with Darksiders 2. My problem started with Darksiders 3, but I'm not terribly worried about that anymore it's the crashing in Battlefront II that is the issue because I play it much more
often. My xbox shuts off every time I open a daily crate. It doesn't freeze, it doesn't just crash the game, it completely shuts down.

Sorry for the different game post said darksiders 3

. For the other game completely shutting down the console, have you tried to uninstall the game, power cycle the console and leave off for 2 minutes, when you turn console back on then reinstall the game.
