    Xbox One X Controller issue after last controller update.


    Hey all, I hope you’re well. I have an issue with my Xbox one x controller, I updated it earlier and as soon as I updated it to the latest firmware is bugged out. My controller now no longer connects to my Xbox, only maintains a connection when I press and hold the Xbox button on the controller. When I don’t hold or press it, the light flashes only whilst holding the button - if I let go the light goes off and the controller turns off. Furthermore, I checked the controller mapping, whenever I press any button on the controller - the mapping shows me pressing all the buttons randomly, as in it flashes on random buttons extremely quickly. I have checked batteries, connected with a wire and everything else possible and was wondering if anyone knew of a fix for this. I would be extremely grateful. Thank you so much for taking the time to check this out.

    October's update made my console garbage

    Same here... When you turn on the xbox one x (didnt check if it happens with xbox one s) from the controller, about 5 seconds after that it looses sync to it and wont re-sync until you shut down the controller and turn it on again, tried it on 3 different
    consoles with 6 different controllers, all that happened after the last update

    I have 5 controllers and I have tried them all. I've updated each controller with headset attached.

    I am not enrolled in any preview program.

    A few YouTube videos also said plug headset into a cell phone and back into controller. Nothing.

    This started after the last Xbox one x update. Before that everything worked just fine.

    Just an update in order to help other players that could experience the same issue...

    1) If you start your xbox one, by controller or by the X lighter button, and then you launch Fortnite with the headset unplugged from your controller, then your headset will not works properly.

    2) If you start your xbox one only by the X lighter button, then you plug the headset into the controller and then you start your controller with the X button, after starting Fortnite your headset will works properly.

    It seems that controller and headset must be started together, after having started your xbox one, but before launching Fortnite.

    I hope this can help.
