    So yeah, my Xbox One X console is not completing the install of the 24FEB2020 update.. [OS version: 10.0.18363.9135 (19h1_release_xbox_dev_2002.200219-1515)]

    - Stuck in 'Step 3 of 3: Applying at 66%' with 84% overall.

    - I am not in the Preview Program. Console was perfectly fine as of 10pm CST 08MAR2020.

    - The hard reset & power cycle troubleshooting steps did not fix my issue. I did the procedure again to be certain.

    - I proceeded with the 'System Updates Solution' troubleshooter. I have downloaded the OSU1 file and unzipped it onto a NTFS-formatted USB thumb drive.

    - Now, while using the 'Offline Update' option, the Xbox continues to be again stuck in 'Step 3 of 3: Applying at 84%' with 93% overall. Nothing I have tried is allowing this Update to apply properly.

    What a Shocker! Another update, another soon-to-be bricked Xbox One! I've seen this issue multiple times in the past. This is how my Project Scorpio slowly died..

    This is the 2nd update in a row that is trying to brick this particular Xbox One X console which is barely over 1 year old. It happened last in Jan2020.

    Is there any frickin way to stop all this planned obsolescence?? for real..

    Hello Big EcK 87,

    More than planned obsolescence, plain bad luck. I'm sorry to read what happens with your Xbox.

    If the offline install is not solving this issue, I would send the console to warranty, as its less than a year old.

    I just started my process with the Xbox Insider Program and have been reading the subreddit community for this program. It lead me to a page in the link below listing all the releases of the Xbox One X OS. This is where I found the version installed on
    my Xbox released 2/24/2020:

    OS Version: 10.0.18363.9135 (19h1_release_xbox_dev_2002.200219-1515)

    So it appears that this is a public release build and not part of the Insider Program. Am I reading this wrong? I will continue to pursue answers while I await your reply.

    Even if my os version doesn't even show in those lists ..

    When I look at my console it days

    Os version

    10.0.220000.1759 (xb_fit_2108co.210816-1740)

    So no clue what to do since it doesn't say it on that page
    Just to confirm: That OS version is listed as the latest on the XBox website:

    The One X shouldn't have trouble with 360 games...I have 2 (GTA: SA and Forza Horizon 1) and it had no trouble installing and playing either.

    Given your OS is up-to-date, then it does sound like there's an issue with the drive somewhere

    The Xbox One OS updates usually roll out in waves, you will sometimes be given the option to update the OS for a day or two before being forced to update, but updates roll out to all versions of the Xbox One (original Xbox One, S and X) at the same time.
