    I've had an xbox one s with 4k running on a sony bdr-65x930d. I thought i would upgrade to an xbox one x. When i set up the xbox one x using the same cables and everything that the xbox one s was using, i can't get it to run 4k. It is detected as 4k and
    shows everything as green in the "4k tv details" area in setup. I've compared all of the video settings and they are identical, yet the X refuses to use 4k. Are there any differences in the X and S that should cause this? I've swapped cables to the one
    that came with the X, bypassed the reciever and went straight to tv. Putting the S back on the same cables works fine again with 4k.

    edit: i've also done a reset twice, no luck.

    Although both the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X can both stream 4K, only the One X is capable of true 4K gaming. I would recommend the XBox One X over the XBox One S because it only one that can truly do 4K gaming! The XBox One S can upscale 1080p games

    Hey there, Xbox One S has got very good 4k upscaled graphics, while the X is true 4k graphics. For now, I've got the Xbox One S, and that works a charm. It is really just up to you, you can either spend a little more for true 4k which you can use on a
    4K TV in the future as well, or you can go with the Xbox One S. You're current TV can support Xbox One/S/X, although an FHD screen, it will look a lot clearer with the S or X.

    The original Xbox One has no 4K capabilities, but the Xbox One S and Xbox One X can stream video and play games in 4K, but not watch movies in 4K.

    The original Xbox One cannot produce 4k images. Only the Xbox One S can (sampling) and the Xbox One X (true 4k).
    That's right!

    And remember: S and X consoles doesn't need firmware updates to play 4K content.
