    Xbox one X cannot output 4K


    I got an Xbox one X second-handed from eBay. At first glance, everything seems good I could run the games as usual. After a while, I upgraded my TV to a 4K screen, and I realized my Xbox one X cannot output 4K. So I search here and there to find out what
    is the problem, but no luck. Another problem is whenever I used the Auto-detect option, which is recommended my Xbox detects my Tv as 640 480.

    I think my Xbox one X retimer HDMI has been changed, so you guys have any idea what can be the possible problem ???

    Yes, the 360 can output up to 1080p, but not 4k. For 4k you will need a Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

    you need hdr for 4k output

    I don't think you fully understand

    Uhd and hdr are required for 4k output

    Unless you have an xbox one s not a x

    You can't play in 4k

    4k is only for.movies or streaming sources which require both uhd and hdr

    But.xbox.one x will do 4k gaming

    The Xbox one S does not output 4k game content. Only the One X is capable of doing that.

    You don't need HMDI 2.1 for 4k on the Series X...you only need HDMI 2.1 to run at 4k 120Hz. The Xbox One X only ran on HDMI 2.0 but it output 4k perfectly fine.

    Xbox One S outputs game content at 1080p and with an HDR color palette, if the game supports it. So no, you are not seeing it in 4K. If you want to see the compatible game in 4K resolution, you would need to use Xbox One X.

    However, Xbox One S will output video content in 4K, such as UltraHD 4K Blu-ray discs and 4K content from streaming services like Netflix.
