Xbox One X Auto Shutdown?overheating message #Fornite Only

My Xbox One X Occasionally auto shuts down and when rebooted gives the overheating warning..........Now I can play apex legends for 5 hours straight with no issues my son plays Fortnite for 30mins and it shuts down and this was from a cold startup
first thing in the morning It only seems to happen with Fortnite, I also play COD Warzone with no issues oh and the internal fan is working and I have also cleared the dust!. anyone else experiencing these issues?

Some games do cause this i had it on cod . Just try make sure there is plenty space around the xbox for air . Better if not in a unit 👍

I've only played Fortnite very briefly, but from what I did see I'd consider it to be a pretty "busy" game in terms of what's going on graphically on the screen, all the extra animation nonsense within the game (i.e. during building/harvesting) could potentially
be causing the overheating.

It's something that I'd probably consider raising with Epic as well just in case it's something they know about.

I am having the same problem with NBA 2K20 and only this game. I can't get passed halftime in a game without the my Xbox One X completely shutting down. When I turn the Xbox One X back on, I get a message that it shutdown to prevent overheating. The console
is in a well ventilated open space.

I have zero issues with any other game or app.
