XBox One X - Any alternative to this HDMI Cat6 extender for 4K UHD/HDR?

Just got an xbox one X and was faced with the very sad reality that my current HDMI Cat6 Extender doesn't support 4K 24Hz/50Hz/60Hz HDR and all that (basically everything under the "Watching Movies & TV" section of General 4K TV details"). I have confirmed
that my TV and receiver both support it, its definitely the extender.

The extender I'm currently using is the

Orei 164-feet hdmi extender over single cat5/cat6 upto
    1080p (Model EX-165C)

When looking up Alternatives I came this thread:

    https://www.avforums.com/threads/hdmi-extender-4k-xbox-one-x.2141906/

The last post to provide a solution refers to a "Balun" Extender that supports 4K HDR, but the picture posted is

Atlona At-hdr-ex-70-2ps-tx - But this is friggin $230 I could
nearly buy a new 4k tv black friday deal for this.

When I search Balun on amazon, I find this
    Balun
but it doesn't seem to support 4k, let alone 4k HDR.

    Other alternatives I found are:

    gofanco HDBaseT
    HDMI Extender 4K 60Hz
    - But it says in the description Note: GAME CONSOLES with native 4K @60Hz (such as XBOX One S/X, PS4 PRO) will display in 1080p.

    AV Access HDMI
    Extender(HDBaseT)
    - But something seems iffy about the description. Too vague.

    J-Tech Digital
HDBaseT HDMI Extender 4K Ultra HD
    - But again, this is a bit vague and doesnt explicitly state the support of consoles like Xbox One X .

Does anyone know of a guaranteed option for an HDMI over Cat6 Extender that supports all XBox One X 4k options? Unfortunately I need to stay at or under $150.

    :)

Usually adding more devices to your chain is a bad idea it degrades the signal

Why not do it this way

    Plug the xbox directly r

In and all your other devices then do optical out to your receiver

Thank you for your response. "ngocphi" responded, but I'd still really appreciate your thoughts on it as well. If you read their responses and then mine, should catch ya up. Im... confused about some of the things they're saying.

    Thank you for the reply.

*2 The short answer is no, I cannot bring the console closer to the TV. At least not on as a permanent solution.

*4 Later today I will put the XBox One X next to the TV and connect it directly to the TV via the "Microsoft official provided HDMI cable". It just can't be a permanent thing, even if it fixes the issue. However, if it does fix the issue, then I'll know
its the cable. You seems to be addressing audio and "ARC". I hope we are on the same page and that you know there is NO audio issue. It is a problem with picture only, and the feature have the issue is "HDR10".

*5 2 HDMI ports are perfect for me, because I have everything connected to my receiver and then the receiver to my TV. It's been a perfect setup with no glitches or lags, except for this HDR10 thing. Again, with the HDR10 feature disabled, the 4K works great.

*6 Throughout your reply I was getting the feeling you're implying that having a receiver in the middle is the issue. I don't get the impression that you're criticizing the make/model of my specific receiver or anything. I feel more like you're implying
the XBox One X wasn't designed to connect to an A/V Receiver at all, but was made only to connect directly to a TV, otherwise the HDR10 wont work. If I understand you're setup, you have everything connected to your TV, and then just the TV to your receiver.
Is this correct? Im very very confident that each product manufacturer (Microsoft, Onkyo, Samsung) would confirm that Gaming consoles and Media devices are designed with the option to connect to an A/V Receiver and then the TV, with all features in tact, provided
that each device supports the features. Which mine do. That's why the receiver commonly has so many inputs while the TV commonly has very few.

In reply to your closing comments: Please keep in mind that the setup is not "complicated" as I have it right now. The issue, if it is one, is distance, not complexity. If I understand your setup, it is as complex as mine:

    **Your setup**

    Xbox > Tv > Receiver

    **My setup**

Xbox > Receiver > TV (Splitters and extenders were removed. HDMI cables only now)

I will definitely definitely connect the XBox One X directly to the TV with "Microsoft official provided HDMI cable" later today. I truly am curious now, and I apologize for not having taken the opportunity to try it over the weekend.

Please know that my words may be an argument, but they aren't meant to challenge. I just want to make sure I understand you, and visa-versa. I need to make sure Im on the right page, because if Ive been under the wrong impression of how to setup a home theater
system (Device>TV>Receiver vs how Ive been doing it Device>Receiver>TV) then it'll help me resolve this issue and avoid issues in the future. I've just always gone Device>Receiver>TV regardless of splitters and extenders.

*1 [...] I agree that using the cable provided would be the best way of going about it. [...]

*2 [...] First is the distance between console and TV. [...]

*3 [...] I didn't realize that when napalm suggested HDMI, they were suggesting fiber optics. [...]

*4 [...] After finding, purchasing, and receiving
this 4k HDMI cable for $66
, I removed any splitters and extension cables from the setup. I connected the XBox One X directly to the receiver using the official HDMI cable that the console came with, and then the receiver to the the TV using the HDMI I ordered
(the one I just listed). When I experienced the glitches, I tried connecting the XBox One X directly to the TV and experienced the same issues. [...]

    *5 [...] The TV is a Samsung UN75NU6900 [...]

*6 [...] I find it nearly impossible to believe that the XBox X is not designed to connect to receiver. Im confident that the problem lies with either the XBox One X it's self, the Samsung TV, or the Cable. [...]
I edited your reply a bit so we have reference.

*1 absolutely yes, the provided HDMI cable support 4K HDR10

*2 can you move the console near the TV? maybe is the simple solution ever

*3 don't worry, you got it right, I was just talking about a longer cable, I didn't even know there was an HDMI fiber-optic cable that cost $ 350

*4 you have connected the Xbox One X directly to the receiver, (again) can you move the console near the TV, connect it with the microsoft official provided HDMI cable and use the ARC (Audio Return Channel) of the TV to get audio on the Onkyo receiver?

*5 I've searched a couple of info for this TV model, you can read an RTINGS review at this link (bad story having only 2 HDMI port)

*6 I think that the problem is somewhere in your actual setup, I'm using a Q9FN 55" Samsung TV (4K HDR10) and a 7.1 audio system, Xbox directly connected to the TV with Game Mode enabled and my audio system works fine using ARC

The only idea I have is: simplify your setup as much you can, I suggest you (at least as a test if not possible as standard setup) to directly connect Xbox Onx X to the TV

napalm, Im sorry to address you directly through this thread, but I can't find a direct message option. Im having issues with 4K on the XBox One X, more specifically with HDR. Would you be in a position to help me either here or through DM of some sort?
Or should I create a new thread?
