    Xbox One X and LG 32ud99-W signal cut out


    I am having an issue with the signal from the X cutting out going to my monitor. This is a very expensive monitor (and Xbox for that matter) so I am a bit perturbed this is happening. I have tried different cables over the one included in the box. The Xbox
    cable when playing a game it cuts out and then the sound never comes back on until I reboot the Xbox. This new cable however, it still cuts out but at least the sound doesn't cut off completely. I have noticed this issue in HDR games and Netflix. I have not
    noticed an issue with non-4k enhanced games. Another symptom I have is Amazon prime has a hard time training up to 4K HDR. Sometimes it does, sometimes it does not. I am in the Xbox insider program in the Beta ring. The update as of 1/20/2018 is on and hasn't
    helped and I have been reporting the issue through the Xbox app for months now. The only other 4K HDR capable device I have is a Chromecast Ultra and 4K Netflix hasn't acted up using that with this display.

    Here are two videos demonstrating the issue. Any assistance with this matter would be appreciated.

    Issue in game. The box in the top right is HDR being detected on the signal. It happens at 48 second mark. This game is LA Noir but I have also seen it in PUBG a number of times as well.

    Has any one got the LG 32UD99-W to truly work in 4K UHD with the xbox one x? With a true aspect ratio of 1:1 not full wide.

    Check your monitor’s OSD settings. There should be an option for aspect ratio, but the

    LG manual     states that if you’re already at 2160p (4K) resolution, there shouldn’t be any stretching in the first place.

    Also verify in the Xbox display settings that you’re at 4K resolution.

    Avengers Infinity War sound cuts in n out. Since I have a Geek Squad warranty, I took my LG SJ9 to Best Buy. They tested all Dolby Atmos scenarios and never once did they have a problem with the soundbar in Dolby Atmos mode cutting in n out. There's something
    wrong with the Dolby Atmos signal the Xbox One X uses that the SJ9 has problems decoding.
