    xbox one x and discord connectivity


    Hi,

    I have encountered an issue that might be something on the Microsoft side of things but wanted to converse with the community on this issue before I went to someone at Microsoft with my concern; or maybe it is in fact something they already know about... Anyway on to explaining the problem.

    My Discord account is linked to my Xbox Live account and has shown just fine on Windows based games that seem to work through the Windows Universal system that I guess somehow integrates with Xbox Live (I have no idea how this all works; I am a computer software guy and actually only just wandered into gaming consoles recently) though on the Xbox side of things my status does not display what games I am playing and also on the xbox it asks as though my Discord account is not linked to my gamertag even though it is. It m ight work better if I explain this in a chart...

    Windows Universal Platform Games > Xbox Live > Discord - O

    Xbox One X Games > Xbox Live > Discord - X

    Xbox Live < Discord - 0

    Xbox Live > Discord - 0

    I hope this makes sense and I am not babbling; if anyone needs more information or has questions please let me know.

    I do use two different consoles. One is an X and the other is a base Xbox One from launch. They’re both in the Xbox Insider beta, but I think they’re at different levels.

    I also noticed my Discord connectivity is broken. After this started, it no longer showed the game I was playing on my Discord status

    I don't know if I understand you very well but I believe that the games you are playing on the console will not show up in your Discord status. I believe this should only work on PC.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    To stream your Xbox to Discord without your headset's audio being picked up by the Xbox, you can use Discord's native streaming feature on Xbox and adjust the chat mixer settings to output only to the headset.

    Please link your discord and Xbox accounts. Make sure your Xbox account and Discord account are linked.

    Follow the instructions given rom this link: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/friends-soc...

    And then log into your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One device with your Xbox account connected to your Discord account.

    Press the Xbox button on the controller to open the console's guide.

    Navigate to "Parties & chats" and select "Discord" from the menu.

    Select the Discord server and the server's voice channel you want to stream to.

    When I connected my xbox account to discord I did it on my phone but maybe this link will help you.

    I'm assuming this is how you did it, but if it doesn't work try the discord app on your phone.

    Hello again,

    There is not an option to uninstall discord from the Xbox Series X. Discord does not show up as an app, as it is integrated directly into the party chat functionality. Are you suggesting that I unlink the discord account?
