Xbox one X 4K install size pre loads

Hi not sure if this is the right forum but just wondering if anyone else has been getting the 4k updates pre loaded for any of their games and to check install sizes.

I have had Forza 7 for sure which mentions the x assets are installed when you highlight the game and press the 2 bumpers and start and menu buttons, this install has gone to nearly 100gb, so I'm assuming that one is right. I also have Wolfenstein 2 installed
which doesn't seem to have the scorpio assets yet, Assassins Creed Origins is another one I have installed which has recently got the xbox scorpio mentioned on the installed assets but the install size only went up by about 300mb from 42.5 to 42.8gb so I'm
guessing that's not complete. Also today ive installed COD WW2 which mentions the scorpio assets also and currently has an install size of 54.1gb.

Again sorry if this isn't the correct forum I was just wondering if anyone else was checking their updates coming through and comparing install sizes.

Oh forgot to mention also Gears of War 4 has updated with scorpio assest that's well over 100gb too.

As I said, not all games will have 4K textures. The new Assassins Creed Origins patch for Xbox One will bring 4K support. It's size is 1.8GB. Small? That's because it has no 4K texture enhancement. The gane will be 4K though on One X.

Have this exact same issue, if that's what it is. Multiple Xbox One X enhanced games installed (titanfall 2, wof 2, cod WWIII and slime rancher) but can't tell if I have the 4k updates. File sizes are the same as on standard Xbox One and I was never prompted
to install a big update upon launching any of the games for the first time on the X. Do I have the updates? I don't have a 4k tv but the X is supposed to force install 4k updates regardless if they are available, but from what I can tell it hasn't. It's pretty
frustrating not knowing if it's working properly, should be a simple way to tell if 4k updates are installed or not. Help?

Not all games have had their patches released yet, the console doesn't come out officially until Tuesday 7th. The only games on my console that I've had Enhanced updates are Forza 7, FIFA 18 and Fallout 3. I'm expecting, Fallout 4, COD WW2, Wolfenstein
2, Doom 2016 and Forza Horizon 3, on my console anyway.

Bear in mind that not all Enhanced or 4K Xbox One X games will have 4K texture assets. Assassins Creed Origins is ready to go, it does not have any 4K texture assets. The update simply enables Xbox One X support. I'm also pretty sure Wolfenstein's update
will be the same. The game will play in or near 2160P, but does not have any extra 4K enhanced textures.

 

Hi, yeah you make a good point about not all games getting 4k textures, id assumed assassins creed origins wasn't completed as it had only increased about 300mb in size, so will be interesting to see just how much better it looks tomorrow.
