Xbox One X 4K HDR Light Bleed while watching 4k UHD / Amazon 4K

Till yesterday i used my Xbox one S for 4k UHD Playback. Everything worked fine. Now my One X jsut arrived and it is impossible to watch 4K UHD Disc with the one X. I got light bleeding all over the movie (especially the black bars are just grey). This does´nt
happen with my one s. Just tested it. Both consoles got the excact same settings. I also tried the old workaround and set TV to limited, but it´s not working. The same problem is accouring while watching something with the Amazon App (4K UHD HDR).

My TV ist Sony XE9405. And it has to be a bug in the player or firmware, cause with the old Xbox One s everything is fine.

    :)

No 4K without HDR (xbox one x)

you need hdr for 4k output

I don't think you fully understand

Uhd and hdr are required for 4k output

Unless you have an xbox one s not a x

    You can't play in 4k

4k is only for.movies or streaming sources which require both uhd and hdr

    But.xbox.one x will do 4k gaming

Xbox One S not support 4k UHD?

I have a Samsung JS9500 TV hooked up to my Xbox One S. All 4k settings are checked off.

Does Amazon Instant Video do not support 4k UHD HDR? While browsing the movie list none shows UHD. No where on the screen it says 4k and my TV would usually tell me if the content is in HDR.

I remember seeing the Xbox One S ad showing support for 4k on Amazon Instant video.

    Help

    Thanks.

See... Netflix blacks are grey on OLED TV

Known issue that appeared to be caused by October update. More and more people are reporting. Appears to be fixed in Delta preview, so hopefully will be out soon for public.

  6. I’m on the Omega Preview ring (omega is issued updates very soon before they hit general public and is easy for anyone to join). I received an update last night and it appears all HDR Black levels are fixed for Blu-Ray, Amazon HDR, etc. However that pesky
Netflix “always-on” HDR issue still persists, but that’s a different story. So if it hasn’t already I would think this should be pushed out to public very soon!

    4k issues

    Hello Spinhead82,

Things are still in a state of change in the land of 4K UHD and haven't quite settled out yet. Part of this may have to do with DRM (Digital Rights Management) and trying to lock things down when it comes to all this 4K digital plumbing. Not only is it the
hardware, like needing to use HDMI 2.X cable. But, it's also the software. Does the firmware in the monitor/TV support the 4K UHD (HDCP 2.2)
content coming from the attached device ("Checking your TV's 4K and HDR capabilities on Xbox One S")? Yes, the Samsung U28E590D
can do 4K UHD, but does it support HDR10? HDR10 support seems to be a very important threshold when comes to connecting the Xbox One S to 4K UHD TVs. The current crop of 4K UHD monitors seems to be more directed to PC gamers. While, the Xbox One S is geared
more toward lager format TVs. I'm sure that this is not the only list, but Windows Central has what it calls "Best 4K HDR TVs For Xbox One S".

    Good luck and good gaming,
