  1. Xbox One X 4k DVR MP4 File Issues

    Hi everyone,

    I hope you are well?

Has anyone had any issues regarding the MP4 file that gets created when capturing at 4k?

For whatever reason I don't have a single media player on my computer that is able to play it. Windows media player only recognises it as an audio AAC file, VLC player can actually play it as a video file but is extremely choppy and from a 1 minute file I only get 2-3 frames displayed. DivX player is also unable to play it. The only device I have found that is able to play the 4k capture back is the media player built into the Xbox itself.

    Backwards compatible streaming?

I don't stream, but I have noticed that when I record clips and gameplay there is no audio in the .mp4 files when I go to watch them. I don't know if this is an issue with Game DVR or the Xbox 360 compatibility on the Xbox One.

Xbox One X \ HDR DVR Videos \ YouTube Friendly

unfortunately this is a youtube problem i would try and contact them
This is not true, the problem here is not with YouTube.

I have 5 sources of HDR videos, all which work just fine with YouTube, except for Xbox One X DVR.

The problem is with the substandard way Xbox encodes and describes HDR metadata in the produced MP4 file. And this should be fixed.

1080p 60FPS Game DVR record option for Xbox One X

This is exactly what we need. Not everyone plays on a 4k monitor. Every game that plays @60 frames looks laggy when recorded with Game DVR on Xbox one X on a 1080p monitor.

How do i play DVD-R discs? Error message

I can confirm that Xbox One X will play "burned" DVDr using mp4 format.

Check to be sure you are using a compatible format, as some programs will convert the file type during "burning" process.

The reason why smart delivery compresses files because of the CPU and GPU power and storage limitations

    True 4k vs 1440p

    Most.games will.only run 1080p max on series s

It will do less CPU intensive stuff like 4k streaming

    Series x does 4k 60hx with possible 120hz (dropped fps )

    Xbox one x does only 4k 30hz
