Xbox One X 4K Downloads Not Starting

I have configured my console to automatically download updates, I have a 4TB external with oodles of free space and all other updates download automatically but I am not getting the 4K updates for my installed games e.g. Gears 4.

I have also selected the download 4K option.

For info, this console is not my home console i.e. the default.

I have tried the multiple button press of left and right bumper plus menu and back to see what assets are installed but they are all Durango.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Quantum Break Doesn't Detect Xbox One X, HELP!

This does not help. The "Download 4K game content" option only appears on non-4K Xbox's. This option is not available on the Xbox One X. In "theory," 4K content is downloaded to the Xbox One X by default. This in NOT the case
for my Xbox One X, however, as it does not download the 4K content for Quantum Break. All of my other 4K enhanced games work without a problem. Quantum Break is the only title that I have that refuses to grant me access to Xbox Enhanced content.

 

4K Passthrough?

I saw it has HDMI 2.0B thingy on this site.

If say you connect an Xbox One X to your 4K HDTV, you should still be able to:

1. Download the YouTube and Netflix apps, onto your Xbox One X, and still be able to watch in 4k 60fps?

2. Use Xbox One X 4k Blu-ray player to watch 4k Blu-ray disc movies in 4k 60fps?

3. Play games on Xbox One X, in 4k 60fps?

.... right?

 

I've got the same problem. I've got several of the games listed as "available now" on the Xbox.com page listing One X enhanced games and I went through the "Get ready for Xbox One X" setup process as soon as it appeared on the Xbox dashboard a while back
and I even bought a new 4TB hard drive for the job. Yet nothing has changed, all my games are the same size that they were before I transferred them to the One X and when I start them there is no update to download the 4k assets just the same games I had a
couple of days and several hundred pounds ago. Does anybody know (please) how to get them downloading?
