Xbox One - Works on TV, not on monitor

So I’ve had my Xbox hooked up to my living room TV for a few years now, never had a problem with it. However, I recently tried to move it to a different room and connect it to a monitor because I’d like to transition to mouse and keyboard, but now I’m facing the issue where I cannot access multiplayer content because my “NAT Type is moderate”. I’ve searched it up and there’s a whole bunch of random information telling me to tamper with my router and other quick fixes (none of the simpler fixes have worked), but that doesn’t make sense considering there was no problem with accessing multiplayer content or the NAT type on the TV compared to on my monitor. Additionally, the monitor is physically closer to router, if that makes any difference. If anyone could help out, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Hi, there could be a chance that your TV/Monitor is not working properly. Rule out this by plugging either a different device that can be displayed on your TV/Monitor using HDMI, or plug your Xbox into a different TV/Monitor. Once this is ruled out, click

From the looks of it, the only step you haven't performed would be checking on a different TV. Are you able to test that out? A computer monitor will work as well as long as it supports HDMI.

If it works fine on a different TV/Monitor, then there are some settings you would have to adjust on your TV to get it to work with the Xbox. I would recommend getting support from your TV manufacturer at that point.

I understand you need help with your Xbox problem.

I do not believe there is an issue with multiplayer when it comes to changing TV/monitor. They are not connected with each other but if you are having some network issues, this should always be related to the router or could also be the console.

Have you tried resetting your router already?

You may also try port forwarding, that would be a big help with the problem.

Make sure also that the monitor supports, HDMI Displayport 2.0 as that what the Xbox One S and Xbox One X use, I believe that the standard Xbox One only uses HDMI Displayport 1.4,

Its possible that the monitor only supports HDMI Displayport 1.4,

Its possible that you're TV has HDMI Displayport 2.0, which could be the reason it works on the TV but not the monitor.
